A little introduction about your Author .. Me!

Yes . . this is a caricature.
I’m 52 now, and it’s been about 12 years since I finally received my fibromyalgia diagnosis. Like so many of you, that answer didn’t come easily. It followed years of pain, confusion, frustration, and endless tests that never seemed to explain what my body was going through.
When the diagnosis finally came, it was both a relief and a reckoning — a name for what I’d been carrying, but also the beginning of learning how to live with a chronic condition that touches every part of life.
Living with a chronic illness reshapes you. It teaches you to listen to your body, to pace, to adapt, and to find strength in places you never expected.
If you’re reading this and nodding along, please know you’re not alone. Our stories may be different, but the thread of resilience, exhaustion, hope, and determination is something we share. And that’s why this space exists: to support one another, to feel seen, and to make the fibro journey a little less isolating.
What is Fibromyalgia
Summary (Because we know there is waaay more than just this):
Fibromyalgia is a long‑term condition that causes widespread pain, deep fatigue, and difficulties with sleep, memory, and concentration.
Symptoms can begin after events like illness, injury, or emotional stress, but sometimes they develop gradually without a clear trigger.
It’s more common in women and often appears alongside conditions such as migraines, IBS, anxiety, or depression.
There's no cure for fibromyalgia. But medicine and other treatments can help control the symptoms. Exercise, talk therapy and techniques that lower stress may also help.
